My "religious" views

Im not sure what i would be categorized as.

I believe there is an energy to life and of all life that can be tapped into and controlled by all life. http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/jill_bolte_taylor_s_powerful_stroke_of_insight.html

I think that how we do that is vastly different within one species and across different species. I believe there are different dimensions to that energy, or force. I don't believe in a humanoid being who was a creator. I do believe in evolution. I do think that Jesus was a man who lived and was a teacher, as was Mohamed, Vishnu, Joseph Smith, etc. I think all the religions through the centuries are too close in story line for any one of them to be "IT". http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/

I think religion is a crutch, a safe harbor, blinders to keep focused on the master as on a horse, that keeps us from the growth that is worth the most because it is the hardest and scariest because we are completely exposed when we are left to think for ourselves and to decided who we are instead of being told. I think there is an afterlife but I don't think it is how modern religion describes it. I believe that "energy", or life force can take many forms and may or may not live on. Modern religion and the human brain takes comfort in "knowing" but I think it is much healthier to admit that we don't "know". We don't NEED to know, it only stresses our present life with guilt, regret, and discomfort for the things we think we "should" be doing because someone taught us what we "know" to be the "truth". My guess about the afterlife is either or both of the following: 1-what i described about our energy forces living on in this form or another in this dimension or another, or not. 2-that the afterlife will be what you think it will be as in the movie What Dreams May Come.

I DO think though that each person needs to find what makes them happy, if it truly does bring them happiness and isn't hurting others or taking away their religious freedoms. I think conversion is inappropriate. we should share and respect one another views with open hearts and minds. I think we should love one another for who we are and be happy for each others found happiness.
