Fire dept
yard (part 2)
all raked by yours truely and roped off, ready for seed
soaker hose on my korean boxwood i planted last fall. not very attractive. hmmm.
Here's where most of the old bark went. i put those big rocks there in the front to make a small terrace as the pile of bark was kinda tall making like a platform for the trampoline. i think it will look great up against the grass.
chive and sage plant doing beautifully!
sand cherry bushes doing great; added 4 small and 1 large euonymus (sp?) last fall...looking nice and green.
Tomorrows agenda: get peat moss, plant seed, and start the watering vigil for little seedlings. but after its established its low water, low maintenance. http://www.nomowgrass.com/
yard (part 1)
added playground bark here under the strawberries from last year (they are looking great this year) and also an elderberry plant in the corner and plans for tall dill in back of strawberries
Princess trees here and one other circle in yard
finished the lava rock stream and filled in with playground bark
here you can see how tractor pulled off old mulch but needs hand raking to smooth and clean. also along the rock line coming DOWN the hill will be orange single leaf tall marigolds then daffodil bulbs for next spring
zinnias will go up against neighbors fence soon
