Lets go fly a kite

Friday we flew kites from our easter baskets at a nearby park. They flew really well. I got one with the string all the way out. Reminded me of when my mom and I would go to the park in Vegas for the big kite flying contests. I still remember all the really cool kites. Safi is so strong she held the kite all by herself as it was flying :)

2009 Spring Fashion Show

Today was our Easter

We did Easter baskets today and a hunt for eggs in the house. The kids got candy, toys, etc and had lots of fun with the hunt. I went to lunch with Anji and then we all went out to Metro Pizza for dinner! Yum Yum!

The fun never stops

Today we dyed Easter eggs. We also painted in the morning, went to the park, got stuff for Easter, & I made a Turkish dish for dinner. Leah made a really cool painting for my dad. We call him grandpa Turk or GT so shes got the GT but it also makes the crescent moon and star as in the Turkish flag.

Excalibur

Today we got a room at the Excalibur Hotel so that we could go to a heated pool. Today was the warmest day of the week at 84degrees, the water was 80 and tomorrow the temp outside is suppose to drop to 69. So we swam for 3 hours, then showered and took naps, then met my dad and Anji for dinner at Sherwood cafe, then went downstairs to the midway for carnival games. Safi won the 1st game we played by throwing a small ball into floating cups. She did it all by herself and we all cheered!! After that we all won something and had a great time. Then we actually decided to check out and come home instead of sleep there so Anji took us home and we stopped for Slurpees!!

Leah and Safi just couldnt stand it and had to go swimming if only for a few minutes as the pool is NOT heated!! Crazy girls. We got a room at the Excaibur Hotel tue night so that we can go all day in thier year round heated pool, get room service, and go downstairs to the Midway (carnival games). We are excited-room was cheep cuz its mid week.

My new flyer

I'm very proud of my new flyer i made. its so professional looking. It has summer and fall info on it. Im really excited for next year. ive already got 10 students who will be coming next year so i will have one 3yr old class and hopefully fill two 4/5yr old classes. im refining my curriculum and having fun and proud of my accomplishments of building this great school :) i folded, stuffed, and addressed 100 flyers to send out to school people. then gave all of my existing students a few in case they get inquirys. When i return from vegas ill be hitting the smiths and walmart parkinglots. many of my students found me from that. ill do it every few weeks getting out about 1000 flyers :)
